30A East
Scenic Highway 30A is a 24-mile coastal road that goes through multiple pristine beach towns and rare coastal dune lakes along the Emerald Coast in Walton County. 30A East begins begins in Watercolor and concludes at the end of 30A in Inlet Beach, located in both Walton and Bay counties. Named after Phillips Inlet, which separates the two counties at Lake Powell, it was parceled out to World War II veterans in a lottery system and sometimes called “Soldiers Beach” or “Veterans Beach” as a result. Today, Inlet Beach features South Walton’s largest public beach access in the county.
The beautiful coastal neighborhoods you’ll find on the east end of Scenic 30A include: Watercolor, Seaside, Seagrove, Watersound, Seacrest Beach, Alys Beach, Rosemary Beach, and Inlet Beach.
